Could you imagine a more inspiring, beautiful and tranquil setting than the rolling hills of Tuscany in Italy? Add a Grand Mansion with historic roots, private pool, world famous cooking and wine and more to see and do on day trips to Florence, Pisa and Sienna than you can do in a week...and what do you end up with? A totally indulgence of all your senses. See, that's a holiday! And it doesn't just appeal to holidaymakers. These houses are not just fabulous for family gateherings, but is certainly also suitable for courses, Think Tanks etc.  Imagine bringing your Italian student, your art students or the friends that you normally bicyle with. It's a brilliant place to ride a bike!

Enjoy browsing the luxurious old houses with four poster beds, antique furniture - oozing ambiance with room for 12 - 30 people and very affordable, when you calculate the price per person. I have done it for a few of the houses, calculated how much they are per person per week or per person per night and that gives a different perspective...chek it out!
However, be aware that these houses are quit popular and are often rented out a year in advance, so unless you are lucky you will have to plan ahead....

Visit Santorini - A Greek Island Vacation in the Aegean Sea

15/4/2017

There is something dreamy about this volcanic island with its houses in white and other pastel shades clinging on to the rocks. It inspires you to reflect upon life in a whole new way, because everything around you is so different from, what most of us are used to. Get a feel of the place from the video below and scroll down to find out more...

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

September and October are a perfect time to visit Santorini, as it's still warm enough to enjoy a swim in the Aegean Sea. Furthermore the crowd has shrunk and prices for accommodation are dropping. The tourist season starts around Easter, when it's still not warm enough to swim in the sea and you need something warm to wear in the evening, and it last until November when approximately 60 % of the establishments start to shut down for the winter. Santorini is however open all year round, it is just much cheaper, much less crowded and colder in the winter, which makes sightseeing more enjoyable.

June, July and August make up the peak tourist season. If you want to visit in the summer, you need to book long time in advance.

How to get to Santorini?

Book a flight to Santorini?

You can get to Santorini by boat or by flight.

Most people prefer to fly. You can get a flight directly to Santorino from several cities in Europe during the peak season. However many people make their way to Athens first and catch a flight to Santorini with Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines or Ryan air.

When you reach Santorini airport, you can rent a car, hire a taxi or catch a minibus to your destination on the island.

Some people prefer to arrive by ferry to a Greek island, and if that is your choice, you need to book a ferry from Athens to Cyclades Islands on the Piraeus Thira ferry route. You have a choice on up to 10 sailings per day with numerous ferry companies; 11 with Blue Star Ferries, 2 with Anek Lines, 3 with Zante Ferries, 4 with Sea Jets & 14 with Hellenic Seaways.

The shortest sailing duration on this popular crossing between Piraeus (Athens) and  Santorini is 4 hours 18 minutes.
