Lagos and Los Olivos, both of which provide
wonderful golf and some fearsome challenges.

The two courses were designed by the world
renown golf course architect Robert Trent
Jones. His life long philosophy in designing
courses is summarized in the expression "hard
par-easy bogey". He applied this philosophy
to the Mijas Golf Resort courses too. "Los
Lagos", was finished in 1976 and "Los Olivos"
was finished in 1984. They are described as
his most wonderful creations in the Costa del
Sol. If you want to play golf in Malaga these are
the courses to play.
Los Olivos is an 18 hole, par 70 course and is
the smaller of the two courses with fewer
water hazards to negotiate. The greens are
smaller and well defended by the undulations
of the ground. The fairways are narrow and
being lined with trees call for more precision
play as opposed to big hitting .
Los Lagos, on the other hand has fewer trees
yet more water hazards to negotiate. The 71
par 18 holes make a challenging course for
any golfer. The wide flatter fairways can be
deceptive as the large greens are well
defended by bunkers and water. Both courses
are a joy to play year round and the Sierra de
Mijas mountains make a magnificant backdrop
for the whole Mijas Golf Resort.
Apart from the courses there is a the golf shop
with two pros on hand to help you with your
game and your purchases. The shop stocks
the best golf clubs, balls, shoes, gloves as
well as other accessories and golf fashions.
Outside there is the buggy rental with manual
and electrical trolleys available. The practice
area is where you will want to tighten your
game before heading out to your chosen
course.
When not playing Mijas Golf Resort has a
choice of fine dining options and bars as well
as other magnificent facilities for all to enjoy.
These include a gym, an indoor pool, jacuzzi
and sauna. There is also a beauty salon
providing manicures, pedicures, facials,

the Fuengirola/Coin turn off from the
motorway and follow the road named Camino
