Recently built and luxurious apartment (80m2) in a building
dating from 1820, ideal for 2 couples, in the heart of Barcelona,
only 200m from the Ramblas, in the lively street Carrer Nou de la
Rambla.

The apartment has been elegantly decorated with many artworks
and little extras, such as the jacuzzi in one of the bedrooms. The
apartment is not so suited for small children and it is forbidden to
smoke in the bedrooms. In the library, you will discover a
collection of English and Dutch books: tourist guides, museum
catalogues, Spanish fiction, etc. You will also dispose of a stereo
installation with a large selection of classical music, opera, some
jazz and Spanish music. There is a long, narrow balcony, perfect
for refreshing moments and observation of the "couleur locale"
(sun from 12.30 to 15.00).

"Las Ramblas" run from the north to the south of Barcelona,
starting at the Plaça Catalunya and ending up at the harbour,
with the statue of Christopher Colombus. The area west of the
Ramblas is called 'el Raval'. The museum of modern art of Richard
Meier, small restaured alleys, convents and small squares, more
recent university buildings, the characteristic market of the
"Boqueria" and the new, big square Rambla del Raval attract a
very diverse population.

Carrer Nou de la Rambla is a small, very lively street at a angle
with Las Ramblas; it can be a little noisy in the weekend. The
most famous building in this street is the Palais Guëll of Gaudí.
Picasso established his studio at nr. 6.
You will find shops, restaurants, clubs and a few supermarkets
there, open every night until midnight. Just on the other side of
Las Ramblas, you will find the superb Plaça Reial.
The famous Opéra "Gran Teatre del Liceu" is on the left corner
and the statue of Christopher Colombus is at 5m walking distance.
