Imaginative Traveller               Adventure Company
You have bought the ticket. The Great "unknown"
is waiting for you out there in the big world. Your
heart is beating faster than usual. You feel alive.
You're on your way. You are about to spend time
with a bunch of completely new people, whom you
haven't met yet - exploring a new part of the
world. This is thrilling & you can't wait to start.
Nevertheless before you take off there are a
minimum of five points you need to pay attention to
- to make your 2010 adventure holiday hassle-free.

1. If you are planning an adventure tour that
involves any type of hiking or walking; you want
good footwear and socks.

2. Make sure in good time that your passport is
valid and are not expiring during your journey. You
also need to find out whether you need entry
papers to gain access the country / countries on
your itinerary and if so; get the process set in
motion in good time.

3. Adventure tour destinations are not likely to be
places where the mainstream tourist goes on a
package tour. This means you have to do a little
investigation on the medical condition of your
destination. Do you need vaccinations of any kind
or Malaria pills? The Foreign & Commonwealth
Office FCO can furnish you with travel advice by
country. Just Google it and keep up-to-date. You
will in addition need a travel-first-aid-kit, Insect
Repellents & Sun Protection Creme.

4. I am not aspiring to be a worry-wart. I have
simply lived long enough to know that accidents do
happen - so crossing your fingers is not going to do
it; you need a
travel insurance that covers
adventure travel
off the beaten track.

5. Photocopy all vital papers for your forthcoming
trip. Your Passport, traveler's cheques, bank cards,
insurance documents and your air fair details.
It is a good approach to keep a set somewhere in
your baggage when traveling. To be free from harm
; I always e-mail myself a set of copies - meaning:
should I loose my papers, the copies will never be
further aside than the nearest internet cafe.

Taking notice of the above listed adventure travel
tips before you go, makes all the difference
between stress and relaxation.
It gives comfort knowing that all the rules of
conduct are well in hand, so you can spend your
time - not racking your brain - but
enjoying your
adventure holiday.
